How to set up your Google Analytics Account
Google Analytics is a fantastic tool that is not only FREE but easy to install and use. This tool provides detailed statistics of your web site visitors, how they found you, with what key words, from where and even what pages they visited, and so much more. This is a fantastic tool to utilize if you want to see how your web site is performing, what are its weak points and strong points and build upon your web site in a manner that will yield better results over time.
First step is to create an account with Google.com, to do that click here
You will receive an email verification then you will be able to log in
After your account is all set up the next step is to log in to Google.
Click here to log in as a user to Google.com
After signing in you will see your account dashboard
Next step is to click here and begin the process of creating an Analytics Account
Next choose access Google Analytics
If you don’t have an account with Google Analytics click sign up!
Enter the domain name for the site you want to track and set your time zone and click continue.
Then enter your contact info and click continue
Agree to terms and click create account
If you are working with us to set up your web site Analytics tracking, copy the code that appears on the next screen and email it to us, we will know what to do with it.
You can also email us your log in id and password and we can obtain the code for you.
If you are utilizing Analytics and setting up tracking on your web site yourself, all you have to do now is take that code and paste it into the html of your web site using the instructions they provide, and that’s it …you’re done. I recommend waiting a couple of weeks for Analytics to gather some tracking information then log back in and you will be able to see the statistics of visitors and how well your web site is working for you!
